How To Fall In Love With A Demon by Lola Glass showed up in my KU recommendations list and it looked so cute I had to give it a read, and I was glad I did. I love the rom-com paranormal mix which eventually got me into reading others like it that I’m sure I’ll be posting about soon enough.

Premise
When a demon walks into your candy shop demanding you be his mate is make a sarcastic agreement to the mate bond, why? Because the mate bond doesn’t understand that sarcasm isn’t and agreement evidently. That’s exactly what happened to Tatum when Rafael Villin walked into her candy shop and now she’s stuck with him.
To make matters worse, he just got out of prison for murdering a Vampire. Sure the vampire was turning humans against their will, but it was still murder. Oh, and Tatum is the only source of lust that he will be able to stand to eat because of their bond. Needless to say, Tatum is having a bad day, but at least he’s decent to look at, right?

My Thoughts
Tatum is a woman who has her life together. She, along with her best friends Miles and Bryn, they own three coffee and candy shops in Scale Ridge. Dealing with paranormals in the town is an every day occurance, but she was still taken back when a demon strolled into her shop and demanded her help.
With one sarcastic comment, she accidentally agreed to be mated to the demon saving them both from going to jail if the dragon shifter – who controls said jail – were to find out they weren’t mated. Despite being angry about the situation and kicking the demon out on his tail, she gives him the time to explain.
“You agreed to be my mate, Tatum. Two minutes after we met, in fact.” – How to Fall in Love with a Demon by Lola Glass
Next thing she knows she’s planning a mating ceremony and helping him to take out vicious Vampires in their town who are seeking to do harm against humans.
How To Fall In Love With A Demon by Lola Glass is a cute, fun read perfect for someone looking for something on the lighter side who wants to giggle kick and smirk at the tension and heat between these two characters.
And yes, there is plenty of tension and heat through this book. The chemistry between these two strangers is delightful, so when we finally get to the spice it’s absolutely perfectly blended into the story.
“I’m gorging myself on candy because I haven’t eaten what I want in a year, Tater-tot. And now that we’re mated, all I want is you.” – How to Fall in Love with a Demon by Lola Glass
Both Rafe and Tatum have to navigate turning their independent lives into a duo as the bond would cause psychosis if they stayed far apart for long, which means they have plenty of time to get to know each other. What they learn through that is just how right the potential mate bond was in connecting them both.
“Let me know if you decide to strip down and touch yourself. I’m still hungry,” he called over his shoulder. – How to Fall in Love with a Demon by Lola Glass
Miles and Bryn are fantastic, and I get a kick out of meeting Rafe’s brothers too. With a packed cast of delightful characters it makes you excited to read on in the series.
The overall vibes of the book give me paranormal Hallmark. You’re going to get the sweetness, flirting, and tension you would get out of a rom-com, with all of the fantastical magic you’d expect out of a paranormal story. It’s an awesome blend.
