After reading Saint View Rebels, I immediately picked up Saint View Slayers vs Sinners by Elle Thorpe dying to know what happened with Kara. What I wasn’t prepared for was the emotional roller coaster the series would take me on as we dove into a religious cult and the trauma it inflicted on Kara and her daughter Hailey Jade. It was a beautiful plot heavy story with plenty of spice that will likely break your heart and put it back together again.

My Thoughts
What is it with me and picking up the books that touch on religious trauma lately? Do not get me wrong, I gobble them on and this one was no exception. I wished I had more free time that I could have binge read the whole series, but it happened to be a pretty busy couple of weeks for me. Still my life didn’t stop me from spending any free moment and a few late nights diving into this story.
I laughed and cried while this series took me through the works. If you are sensitive to misogynistic rhetoric, be prepared, because Elle portrayed the cult in a realistic way that I could feel the anger boiling up in me. Don’t worry though, there is a very happy ending.
I tightened my grip on her. “Put you down so you can pass out again? Yeah, I don’t think so.” “I’m too heavy,” she protested. I paused at the edge of the couch and stared down at her incredulously. That was what she was concerned about? “Woman, do I look like I’m fucking struggling?” – Saint View Slayers vs Sinners by Elle Thorpe
This is a why choose romance, meaning there are more than one MMC that ends up with the woman as well as two of them falling for each other too. That means there were a lot of spicy scenes. That being said, it’s a long slow burn for those group scenes.
The spice was extremely well done, especially because the men were well aware of where she came from and the trauma she went through. The praise is off the charts and the consent dynamics are even higher.
“Can the two of you stop arguing for a single minute and just fuck me so I can come?” – Saint View Slayers vs Sinners by Elle Thorpe
If there is one thing that I can always depend on within the Saint View world, it’s that Elle Thorpe will always give us character growth. Each individual character has gone through so much in their life, there are self-imposed expectations and trauma that they hold on to. Throughout the series we see each of them step into their true selves and it’s really beautifully done.
Hawk cocked his head to one side. “Have you introduced them to Scythe and Vincent? I think they’d have a lot in common.” – Saint View Slayers vs Sinners by Elle Thorpe
Yes, there is a side character that I immediately fell for, and we’re going to get a series with him soon. Squeee!
Sneak Peek:
“Can I help you?” “Can Scythe come out to play?” The woman blinked. “Excuse me?” – Saint View Slayers vs Sinners by Elle Thorpe
Warning: Twists and cliffhangers will leave you reaching for the next book immediately after finishing the previous. Fact is, it wouldn’t be an Elle Thorpe series without those twists.
Trauma and healing along with found family play a huge role in the vibes of Saint View Slayers vs Sinners. It’s a heart breaking, rage inducing, dark series, that will leave you feeling simultaneously happy with the ending and wanting more.
