Dark Romance

As soon as the signs of a book slump started coming in, I knew I needed a dark romantic comedy to pull me out of it. Dolls and Daggers by DL Darby was the exact book I needed. It was funny and cute, you know in a serial killer dark romance way.

A comfort author and one of my favorites, Pride by Nikki J Summers is yet another book by this incredible author. Her book will leave you guessing as she weaves a story that will keep you up late for just one more chapter.

To Have and To Hold by Alina Comsa came across my suggests a bit ago, and the blurb sounded good, so – as I usually do – I picked up the new to me indie author and gave the book a read. And I was hooked from the start and couldn’t put it down.

From the very first book in the Ruinous Love trilogy, I was excited to read Scythe and Sparrow by Brynne Weaver. I was looking forward to learning more about the quiet seemingly good Dr. Kane and the circus performer Rose, and it did not disappoint in the slightest.

As soon as I finished Butcher and Blackbird, I grabbed Leather and Lark by Brynne Weaver. I was dying to know what happened between Lark and Lachlan that had them exchanging glances, and well, I was left absolutely obsessed with these characters.

I was absolutely terrified to pick up Butcher and Blackbird by Brynne Weaver. Love the author, follow her on all social media, but she loves to put my only triggers in her books. Still, where there is a will to overcome, I will find a way.

After listening to Lights Out a few weeks ago, I knew I was hooked on this author and series. On June 10th, I woke up, grabbed Caught Up by Navessa Allen on Hoopla and began listening to Kasi Hollowell, Teddy Hamilton, and special guest Jason June. And I loved every single second I had listening to this book.

It’s no big surprise that I love me some mafia romance. The first series I ever completed was a mafia romance series. Is mafia great in real life, nope. But in fiction? The completely obsessed morally grey man who is over-the-top protective and possessive? Hell yes.

If there is one expectation I had for The Pucking Wrong Rookie by CR Jane, it was laugh out loud moments from the Circle of Trust. This book delivered that and so much more. Not only did we get “simpage,” loads of unhinged MMC behavior, and those moments that made you love these characters to begin with, but we also get a story of loyalty, heart-breaking trauma, and banter for days.

The Pucking Wrong Man by CR Jane has officially put me in a chokehold. I’m absolutely obsessed with the obsessive, protective, and possessive men that she writes. I can’t get enough of it.

The Pucking Wrong Date by CR Jane is the dark hockey romantic comedy I needed to escape into. From the moment we met Disney in book two, I was ready to see how this wholesome seeming man would behave once an obsession took hold.

I don’t know if you’re ready for Ari Lancaster and The Pucking Wrong Guy by CR Jane. He’s the obsessed, over-protective, and possessive MMC we all love, except if you think he’s a broody one, you’d be wrong. The man is a golden retriever through and through.
